Having completed the handover from the previous Board, here is an update to share.
Club Strategy
In keeping with the previous Board’s strategic view for improving financially sustainability in services to members & the community, the new Board’s priorities are increasing membership and club culture. The view is to share the details of this strategy in our next communication.

Upcoming Regional and Open Water Meets
A final reminder that entries for the SW 12U Junior Champs closes at 23:59 today. Entries for the 13O LC Champs open tomorrow morning and close Sunday, 17 January 2021.

To find out if your swimmer has qualified, please refer to the Eligibility Reports sent to you by the Club’s Race Secretary earlier this week or email

There are also two Open Water events :-
2021 NZ Open Water Swimming Championship,Taupo, Saturday, 17 January 2021 Wellington Harbour Challenge 2021, Queens Wharf, 27 February 2021.

Constitution Update
In acknowledgement & appreciation of Matteo Solinas (parent of swimmer’s Agata and Giacomo Solinas) and former Board member Mike Heath (parent of Ruby Heath) for their assistance in amending the Club’s current Constitution.

Upcoming Closures

No Senior Squad training at WRAC, Saturday 12th of December, due to2020 Swimming Wellington Junior Champs.

Capital Swim Club training at WRAC will close for two weeks beginning, Monday 21 December 2020, re-opening Tuesday, 5 January 2021.
